All About Bad Bishop
I’m Bishop Brown—better known as “Bad Bishop” to some, “Good Bishop” to others. I wasn’t born in Utah, but after leaving Connecticut at 17 and bouncing around the Mountain West, I’ve made Salt Lake City my home.
Raised LDS, I left the church—and a version of myself—behind in 2014. Since then, I’ve rebuilt my life through grit, growth, and a hell of a lot of therapy. My story includes sleeping in a truck with no heat, navigating an open marriage and divorce, finding healing through tarot, and dodging more than a few metaphorical bullets along the way.
This blog is where I lay it all out—no sugarcoating. It’s a place for lessons learned, scars earned, and stories that might just help someone else feel less alone. I write for the ones still figuring it out, just like I am.
These days, I’m engaged to my partner Shelby, co-hosting the Mental Flog podcast, and building a life that feels more honest than ever. Whether I’m writing about Jeep trips, past mistakes, or quiet victories, I always tell the truth—even when it’s messy.
If you’re into raw stories, hard-won wisdom, and the occasional dark joke—I’m glad you’re here.
