Here is where the writing, podcasting and vinyl happens. Top left is some artwork I fell in love with while out adventuring in Salt Lake with Shelby. To the right, the sign you already saw. Next to it a Texaco sign gifted to me also this year by my friend Brian from Connecticut. Next to that is my grandfathers straw hat that he loved to wear. Last but not least is a print of Hawkeye from MASH found on that same trip with Shelby. Then my collection of books and book ends. Writing always happens with headphones on and music playing. It just helps me block out the world and stay in the zone.
I just completed my first book of 2024. I am once again going for 12 books in 12 months. This one has been completed, written down on my vision board / goals for the next three years board and posted to Facebook in a 2024 album. Yes, I did get some joy out of completing this small part of my goals for the year. Also, that is the first work of fiction I have read for joy in a very long time. I need to do that more often.
I gained this week. I have three weeks and a final weigh in left to go. I am 7.2 pounds away from my 10 pound goal at this time. Furthermore, I need to remember what Ariel told me about food not being a punishment. I need to keep eating right and pivot as needed. I can say proudly that I have not had fast food. The goal for now is a month solid without it. I have not had fast food since the last day of 2023. That day would have been two weeks without it. It becomes easier as time passes to not crave it. Plus, it made me feel gross the last time I had it, so the motivation and desire for it is rather low at this time.
Lunch for the next two days is in the fridge and ready to go. I found a Mediterranean pasta salad on clearance at Smiths today. I added in a metric ton of protein and split it into two portions. Later in the week I have veggies, rice and more protein that I will make to finish out the week.
Tuesday, Jeff and I have another Podcast meeting scheduled. We need to start recording soon. I want to make a new intro for season two. I am yet not sure what it will be. I am looking forward to season two and what we will make of it. As of late, some people have discovered it, and we have gotten excellent feedback on what we have done so far. On that note, I am going to finish up some chores and make some dinner.
